As part of the Cinemagic Festival, p4-7, went to the Grand Opera House. TV presenters Lauren Layfield (Dengineers, CBBC Presenta-tion) and Ben Shires (Officially Amazing, Match of the Day Kickabout) host a fun showcase of children’s film, games and television in the beautiful surroundings of Belfast’s Grand Opera House. Lauren and Ben will be talking about the history of BAFTA and the Grand Opera House; looking at creative roles within the media industry; sharing special behind the scenes reports filmed by BAFTA KIDS Young Pre-senters. They will be joined by ‘School of Noise’ to examine how sound and music are used on-screen and the young audience members will help generate a unique soundtrack. Aimed at a schools’ audi-ence there will be lots of opportunities for pupil interaction including a drawing competition for kids to share their favourite early memories from film, games and TV.
